talithaMany students at MHGS are more than simply pastors or counselors but artists and creatives as well. Talitha Bullock, a 3rd year MACP student, is also a singer-songwriter. She uses music to give her words where she otherwise could not speak.

Fragile Heart by Talitha Bullock

“I have been writing for longer than I can remember.  I feel like I went through this awakening a few years back, where I was tired of hiding behind a mask.  I wanted to write in the open, about real things, pain, hurt, hopelessness, love.  There was a turning point, when I wrote the song “dreams” where I came alive.  I came alive to this passionate woman who I felt was hiding behind closed doors.  I came alive to my own anger and pain.  A big part of this journey has been accompanied by MHGS.  A school that has called me to more.  More of myself.  I’m beginning to see myself in my reflection, and it’s nice to finally be seen.”
